Live Performance

Whether it was your first DMB concert or show number 60, the crowd agreed that Dave Matthews Band delivered last night in Bristow, VA at Jiffy Lube Live. The setlist (see below) surprised from the “Seven” opener straight through to a rare, high energy “Don’t Drink the Water” closer, followed by a short, but borderline epic encore. Playing 18 songs from eight different albums, the band mixed in old and new between all of the four confirmed songs (“Mercy”, “Sweet”, “If Only”, and “Gaucho”) on September’s upcoming album and five jams from their debut Under the Table and Dreaming album. The show highlights were unanimously Rashawn Ross’s horns on “So Right”, Dave letting the crowd cover the first verse on “Jimi Thing”, Boyd Tinsley taking over the stage on the fan-favorite “Warehouse” encore opener, and Jeff Coffin’s saxophone tearing up the “Grey Street” finale. Bottom line, this tour has been one of the best to date so if you’re looking for a great summer concert, an entertaining crowd, and some good old fashion tailgating to eat, drink, and be merry, pick up some tickets for a show near you.
