Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash – Reload

Posted in: Bangers, House, Music | No Comments | Posted on by crocc8

New Progressive House

Some tracks you know are going to be amazing simply by looking at the combo of artists who create them.  ‘Reload’ is certainly one of those tracks.  Ingrosso and Trash are two men who need no introduction as both are at the top of the game right now and have no plans of slowing down.  I like most have been loving this track for a few months now and it is great to have it finally released.  The track is actually very simple and that is part of what makes it great.  There is no vocal, no insane drop or crazy effects.  Just a great rise and fall of synth and melody.  This songs progressions and crescendos are brilliant and I can’t really describe the effect it has on you live.  With everything getting bigger and crazy right now a the simple nature of this song is perfect.  Its always gratifying when you see two of your favorite artists pop up on a collaboration and that track turns into a personal anthem.  For myself and I hope many others, ‘Reload i that track.

Great combination here. Nicky Romero continues his streak of great collaborations, adding Nervo in for this one. A little softer than what we’re used to from him, I’ve come to appreciate his versatility. It’s been a pleasure watching Romero’s ascension through the DJ world lately, looks like its only going to continue.

Dada Life – Feed the Dada

Posted in: Bangers, Electro, House, Music | No Comments | Posted on by crocc8

New Electro/House

Featuring the self proclaimed ‘biggest drop ever’ Dada Life continues to push the envelope and be one of the most entertaining duo’s in EDM today.  With a list of The Rules of Dada, as well as their champagne and banana clad shows, Dada Life have branded themselves something fun and unique in today’s music world.  Like all of their recent productions ‘Feed the Dada’ is a balls to the walls production that absolutely kills it.  The song opens with a rather soothing vocal and quirky beat kind of like ‘Rolling Stone T-Shirt’, before the drop kicks in and in typical Dada fashion all hell breaks loose.  The track is the second single off of Dada Life’s highly anticipated album ‘The Rules of Dada.’  The duo will also be embarking on a North American tour in a few weeks that will have them playing 40 shows in six weeks.  I will be seeing the pair this weekend at Electric Zoo, and encourage anyone else attending the festival to pencil in their set as a must see.  In the wise words of Stefan and Olle ‘If your stuck, there’s only one solution: Go Harder.”  Words to live by right there.

New release from Alesso and Dirty South that I’ve been waiting for for a while. “City of Dreams” is a really uplifting song with some powerful vocals from Ruben Haze. Get used to hearing this one because everyone is going to be playing it.

Debuted on Pete Tong’s show on Friday, this song is just awesome. Anything with the Swedish House Mafia label will be great, that’s just assumed. Weird to think this is their last single before they break up.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Cream at Privilege, Ibiza (Radio 1 Essential Mix)

Posted in: Bangers, House, Music | No Comments | Posted on by crocc8

New Progressive House

So I must admit I have fallen behind in posts this week, but hey I was on vacation so back off.  That being said I felt it would only be right to give you 124 minutes of music and you only have to press play once.  I know, im too kind.  This week’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix comes to you directly from Cream at Privelage in Ibiza.  The mix is a mega set that has Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso tearing the place down together.  I must admit it all starts pretty predictably with the usual heavy hitters such as ‘Calling’, ‘Years’ and the big drop combo of ‘Greyhound’ and ‘Antidote.’  The final half hour of this set is simply massive however.  My absolute favorite moment of this set is Ingrosso’s new collaboration with Tommy Trash, ‘Reload’, with ‘Save the World’ acapella layered over.  ‘Reload’ has yet to be released, but this song is exactly what you would expect from an Ingrosso-Trash combo, and that is perfection.  The song just builds and builds with euphoric synths, and adding in ‘Save the World’ makes the track take you to another place.  As your floating up above, the pair keep you in the clouds with the recently debuted ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ which is about as emotional as a track can get.  You are then rocketed back to earth in the best way by the break neck pace of ‘Ladi Dadi’ while still keeping a bit of euphoria with Thomas Gold’s ‘Sing2Me’ added in.  The final bootleg of the set is a laundry list of pairings.  The bootleg is made of Tommy Trash ‘The End’, Alesso ‘Clash’, Mark Knight’s ‘You’ve Got The Love’ remix, ‘One’, and ‘Somebody I Used to Know’ acapella.  Yeah I don’t know how they managed it all, but I am definitely glad they did.  So don’t make any plans for the next hour and a half, and be insanely jealous of all those who were at Cream for this set this past weekend.
