First played by SHM Saturday at their massive Milton Keynes Bowl gig, here is the “last” single to be released by the Swedish trio. To the surprise of no one, this song is straight fire. Considering this was the first time its ever been played this quality was the best I could do but it is so worth it. Any time I get chills waiting for a drop…the song is just going to be special. You can find the Jakob Liedholm Edit below for download.
The official hour long feature on Ultra Music Festival is out now and can be seen for free for the next two weeks. This was really cool to watch, Ultra is truly the most incredible experience I’ve had in my life and I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep myself away this year and do something else for spring break. The video includes some great interviews with guys like Guetta, Armin, Tiesto etc. and is a great look behind the scenes at Ultra. Definitely worth the watch.
New Progressive House
So the first thing I think of when I hear Canada is not awesome music, although this song has made me question my opinion of the great white North. This song has banger written all over it. I’m going to make a bold prediction and say this one blows up just in time for E Zoo at summer’s end. You can feel the drop building and when it finally releases all bets are off. The amount of intensity this song is going to unleash live is just plain scary. Paris & Simon are new comers from Canada and this track is being released by Revelead Records(yeah it’s Hardwell again). I think 3lau summed this track up pretty well on his Facebook saying ”This Will Melt Your Face”. Oh look there’s my nose on the floor.
Official release is set for July 23rd.
New Progressive House
Brighton native, Tim Mason, has championed Steve Angello’s Size Records for over a year now, and in that time he has become one of the U.K.’s most spectacular progressive house producers. With singles like “The Moment” and “Anima” and well-received remix duties on Zedd’s “Stars Come Out” and PNAU’s “Solid Ground”, it’s easy to see why people are drawn to his dominantly euphoric and melodic offerings just as much as his club fueled bangers like “The Moment”, which, to this day, features one of my favorite drops. Since the founding of his own record label, Swedish superstar and EDM veteran Steve Angello has shown a consummate ability to not only craft the world’s best dance music but to meticulously spot rising talent as well. Producers like Max Vangeli & AN21, Third Party, Quilinez, Thomas Gold and some of the established greats like Deadmau5 and Laidback Luke are among the signees to Angello’s Size Records, alongside Mason, which clearly puts him in good company. Mason has now decided to present personal reworkings of two of his most recognizable hits to date and provide them free of charge to the EDM community via Size Records and Beatmyday.com. The “OMG” remixes of both “Anima” and “The Moment” are two new and improved versions of the tracks that propelled him to super stardom that somehow manage to keep their original character, only adding a bit more flair to extend their shelf-life. The tracks will be released for download on July 17th, so don’t forget to check back here next week.

New Progressive House/Trance
The Scandanavian peninsula is working their way to world domination in the EDM community. Right now it’s a dead heat between them and the Dutch. Artist like Finnish born Lenno are helping the Scandinavian cause. This 17 year old prodigy has been on a recent tear with remixes. His latest remix of Above & Beyond’s new hit ‘On My Way to Heaven’ joins the ranks with his well received remixes of ‘The Night Out’ and ‘Eyes Wide Open’. Lenno takes the original track and gives it a bit more of a progressive feel while not getting too far away from the originals trance foundation. Keep your eyes on this young up and comer as I’m sure he has plenty more for us in the future.
The Two Friends first came on my radar after hearing an amazing 30 minute set by them and they took off from there. It’s pretty crazy how much work they’ve been putting in, between remixing songs and creating originals like this one. If you haven’t heard of them, now’s the time to get on board. Find the free download below and start bumping this at your summer parties.
