Live Videos From SHM @ The Garden
Seriously, bro. I know we all expected big things from the Swedish trio, but come on, last night was just absurd. I’ve never seen anything quite like that production and I’ve damn sure never felt that type of energy. Individually, each member of the EDM super-group is an internationally acclaimed producer, Dj, and label head but get them on stage together and you’re in for one hell of a ride. Honestly, there aren’t many acts today that can get away with a high energy set like SHM chose last night. I’m assuming that was mainly a response to the two hour time limit they had on their set (which was b.s. – I wish they could have played until at least 2 or 2:30), but either way, you’d be hard pressed to find a slow moment in the show besides in the video above when they used Fix You as a lead in to the ever popular and perpetually epic Pressure (Alesso Remix), which needless to say returned the tempo to about 1000 mph. Just banger after banger, up there crushing life in front of 20,000 hysterical fans in one of the most recognizable venues in the history of entertainment. And lets not forget about that light show. Like holy christ, who choreographed that shit? Aliens? The guy from A Beautiful Mind? I mean the music was absolutely incredible, but the production value of the show as a whole was on a whole other level and nothing short of absurd. They really pulled out all the stops to make their short trip to New York a memorable one, and I think anyone who was in the house for the show or watching the live stream would agree that it was, in one word, epic. Some will complain that the set was too linear for the three ubberly talented spinners, and lacked surprise, but I would argue nothing of the sort and site remixes of Robyn’s Show Me Love, Leave the World Behind with Good Love and Nicky Romero’s ridiculous rework of Flash, and even their mixing of thier classic, One with Florences sweeping vocals in You’ve Got the Love and the infectious melody of Tommy Trash’s The End as examples of the genius these Swedes share for mixing. The shit was just out of control. Really no other way to put it. If you haven’t checked out the other videos, they are in the post below and are well worth watching. The footage of One is like the scene in Tropic Thunder where they accidentally blow up half of ‘Nam with some serious explosives. Check em out, and pick up the download of their performance from HDM as well. Be easy, HDM Nation, and enjoy the videos of last night’s epic show!

New House Remix Package
Chi-town stationed American producer/dj Kaskade’s chart-topper finally received a face-lift via a remix package featuring Deniz Koyu and Nause among others. Honestly, I am such a huge fan of what Kakade did with the original that I second guessed even clicking play on the remixes. These guys take the song in two entirely different directions, Koyu providing some energetic kicks and replaced the drop with an utterly dancey sequence while Nause gave the intro and build up a bit of a thick dramatic lead with some heavy chords and a distinct kick pattern giving way to a smashing electro drop. I always hate getting remixes that are too similar to the original cut and you’re kinda torn between which one you like better or if there’s even a difference between the two in the first place so I was happy to hear a noticeable difference in both reworks. Christmas break is upon us, so spread some of that old holiday cheer by lettin your friends in on these bangers and the HDM way!

Sick New Dubstep Banger
Skrillex is on an entirely different level. Honestly, this guy just jams out and gives ‘Levels’ a new high. This goes hard, a headbanger for sure.
