Hell yes. I was listening to Sander Van Doorn’s Ultra set from this year at work the other day and this one immediately caught my attention. Great mashup from Mr. Van Hage.
Over the past year, Tommy Trash’s unique electro styles have lead to his sort of type casting as a furiously energetic electro house guru. More recognized for his remixing abilities than his own productions, Trash has made concerted effort to further his production aptitude and create himself a greater original discography. Today, we preview his latest studio output, “Falling”, alongside the German electro outfit, Digitalism. This track seems to be surprisingly housey and melody driven which is certainly a notable break from the norm for both of these dudes but more importantly proves the Australian born producer’s staggering aptness to produce both crunchy electro as well as more melodic club gems. To go along with the original is Trash’s special club-fueled remix which unmistakably adds a bit of his signature energy which is to be released along with the original on July 23.

Live Stream of DayGlow Miami
Since it’s debut in 2006, DayGlow by Committee Entertainment, the world’s largest paint party, has gone from a traditionally college student fueled rage fest into one of the world’s premiere and one of a kind EDM experiences. What began in Florida has now spanned the globe and in doing so, hundreds of thousands of fans have been spellbound by the one of a kind experience Committee Entertainment has to offer. To add some perspective for the few of our readers who’ve not attended a DayGlow event: glowing paint everywhere, as little clothing as possible, captivating aerial and light displays and oh yeah, some of the greatest DJs this earth has to offer. Tomorrow night the traveling paint party makes its way back to the Sunshine State to take Miami by storm and paint the town… neon yellow.
Headlined by Swedish sensation and soon to be 21 year old Alesso, Committee Entertainment has teamed up with LineRocket to add an entirely new dimension to the world class event. LineRocket, a Los Angeles based high end nightlife and ticketing service, has introduced a brand new ticketing system to speed entries into the event while completely eliminating the hassle of dealing with physical tickets by joining their service which enables an automatic “will-call” type service for the clubs you want to go to by paying the club’s cover charge plus a small LineRocket fee before you go clubbing. Also, for Friday’s event the nightlife company will also unveil their brand new streaming platform, LineRocket Live. The streaming service is a comprehensive broadcast of the event designed to give the user a much richer viewing experience and a create that “being there” feeling that some other streaming services may fail to produce.
“We set the bar when it comes to live-streaming production,” says Executive Producer Ceasar Augustus, “our goal is to make the user feel like they are actually at the concert.”
The live stream will be available in HD to virtually any capable device and will be available here when the event begins on Friday at 8 p.m. Although the event is headlined by Alesso, DJs Deniz Koyu and David Solano will also perform at the event. If you’re in the Miami area, lucky you. If not, make sure to click the link and check out the live stream of DayGlow Miami!
TV Commercial Songs
I’ve been sick and tired of asking the question, what’s that song? when watching commercials. It’s about time Shazam has gotten on their game, but there are always those instances where you just miss the song or don’t pull out your phone in time, so HandsDownMusic has got you covered. Parov Stelar’s “Chambermaid Swing” is from the Bacardi commercial that celebrates 50 years of being in business and is incredibly catchy. You can see the track in action and get it on iTunes below.
Operation Dankstar has only just been introduced to my radar, but they bring a different sound than most dubstep. As I always said, and will continue to say, I’ve never been a fan of dubstep, but there are always those few songs that stick out there and there – this is one of them. Putting this track together for the Zedd Spectrum competition on Beatport, he stands out from a sea of submissions in my eyes and I hope he takes home one of the grand prizes. Check out the Zedd Spectrum competition here and visit his Soundcloud page here.
This is brilliant. Cal has clearly been on his grind and all of his lyrics are well articulated and planned out in a smooth flow. Honestly, I gotta see this kid in concert, he’s on the rise to become one of the best newcomers and all he needs is a little awareness. Check out what he has to offer in this newest update.
